Tips on Making the Best Prebuilt Coils Last Longer
Here at X2O vapes, we offer various types of durable prebuilt coils. However, even the best-prebuilt coils are subject to the inevitable wear and tear. The good news is that there are things that you can do to make your prebuilt coils work for you longer. Coils do need to be replaced over time, but you should know that their lifespan depends on how you vape.
Coils typically last for around 1 to 2 weeks from their first usage. However, you can extend that if you do your part in maintaining and taking care of them. It is essential to treat your coils well during use, and even they are not in use. Employing the best practices will not only help you save money (by not having to buy new coils as often) but will also allow you to experience cleaner and better-tasting hits.
Here are some tips to lengthen the lifespan of your coils.
Do a break-in with every new coil
Replacing your old coil is not as simple as putting a new one in place and then vaping like you usually would. In fact, new coils have to prime for them to last longer. Once you have screwed the new coil, the next thing you have to do is to saturate the wick. You can do this by putting drops of e-liquid on the holes found on the coil’s body. You can also put a drop on the coil’s head.
Once you have reassembled your device, take a couple of dry hits. This means that you take a drag without turning on the fire button. Next, turn the heat on and break-in the coil. It is best to start with small hits first and with a lower wattage. Increase the wattage gradually and start taking longer hits.
Refrain from taking burnt hits
When there is not enough liquid to heat up the coil properly, a dry or burnt hit happens. Due to the lack of liquid, the wicking material will be used up faster. To keep this from happening, it is important that you only use the firing button as needed.
It is also a good practice to wait several seconds before you take your next hit. Even the best-prebuilt coils need time to absorb more juice before they can create more vapor. If you don’t give the coil time to cool down, you could be unconsciously taking dry hits.
Another way to avoid burnt hits is to refill your tank even before it runs empty. Also, try to vape at a lower wattage as much as you can.
Keep the coil clean
The best-prebuilt coils will last longer if you maintain them even after the installation. Gunk usually accumulates in the coil, though the rate at which this happens is pretty much determined by how often you vape. The coils that we offer here at X2O Vapes can be easily cleaned. Wash one using hot water and dry it thoroughly before reattaching it to your device.
